PAGES-MedCLIVAR

PAGES and MedCLIVAR collaborate on spatial reconstructions and modeling of past climate in the Mediterranean region (including southern Europe, the Middle East and northern Africa) over historical timescales. PAGES-MedCLIVAR thus contributes (1) to the PAGES Focus 2 objective of spanning a global network of regional climate reconstructions and (2) to MedCLIVAR's first of five identified tasks of "Analysis of past climate".


PAGES and MedCLIVAR facilitate synthesis work towards these shared objectives by jointly running

- workshops on Mediterranean climate reconstruction and modeling

and

- a metadatabase to assist the compilation and overview of datasets from the region.
