Paired pictures

PAGES invites you to provide paired pictures (photos or drawings) for the online PAGES product database. These pictures should demonstrate climate change at a particular location by comparing the past with the present situation. For example, photos showing the retreat of glaciers, changes in vegetation or hydrology, or human impact. Click here for some examples.

Please send your contribution in the following format to Louise Newman:
- Pictures as jpeg or tiff files (9 x 13 cm, 300 dpi)
- Figure caption (maximum 300 words), key words and reference (author, contact information, photo dates and location) in a Word file.

If you cannot send the material digitally, you can send us copies of your pictures by mail and we will scan them. Please do not send originals!

An author credit will appear on the picture. The photos will be available free of charge to others to download from our website.

PowerPoint slides/presentations and posters

PAGES welcomes your contribution of posters, PowerPoint slides and presentations for use by others for educational purposes.

Slides should be sent in the following format to Louise Newman:
- Slides as PowerPoint files
- Short caption, journal reference and author details (name, contact information) in a Word file.

An author credit will appear on each product, together with the PAGES and IGBP Logo. The products will be available free of charge to others to download from our website.

If you wish to submit a poster, please contact Louise Newman to discuss the format.

Info Sheets

The aim of the Info Sheets is to address key questions in climate and environmental science from a paleo-perspective. The questions are addressed at a popular science level, targeted for early university-level students, and teachers of early- or pre-university courses.

If you wish to suggest a topic or questions for an Info Sheet, please contact Louise Newman.
