Science Officer

Responsibilities
Coordination of working groups, developing new scientific activities, and many publishing tasks at the PAGES IPO (Newsletter, PAGES products, website contents).

Interests
Reconstruction of paleolake communities and their environment.
Origin and paleobiogeography of the Antarctic freshwater fauna.
Biological responses to past variations in climate, at both a species and community level. How these communities have reacted to small-scale (i.e. salinity, ice cover, productivity, species introductions) and large-scale (glacial cycles, sea-level change, precipitation/evaporation) environmental change.
Effect of large-scale environmental processes on species evolution e.g. vicariance and dispersal events.
