This special issue, titled "Understanding Change in the Ecological Character of Internationally Important Wetlands" is an outcome of a 2013 PAGES-sponsored workshop held in Queenscliff, Australia.

Paleoclimatology is a highly collaborative scientific endeavor, increasingly reliant on online databases for data sharing. Yet there is currently no standard way to describe, store and share paleoclimate data.
A new paper written by PAGES 2k Network members Nicholas P. McKay and Julien Emile-Geay, accepted to Climate of the Past (12) on 29 April, proposes a Linked Paleo Data, or LiPD, database.
