| The PAGES IPO and its activities are supported by national commitments from the United States and Switzerland. The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and U.S. National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are the primary federal agencies funding U.S. investigators in paleoclimate science as a partnership within the U.S. Global Change Research Program. Smaller paleoscience programs do exist in other agencies, such as the Department of Energy, the U.S. Geological Survey and NASA. |
