PAGES Africa

updates on the Pan African PAGES Network

The Pan African PAGES Network has been formed to enhance dialogue, collaboration, research and information exchange on palaeo-issues between African scientists and across continental borders with other scientists in the wider international domain.

The immediate tasks of the Network are to follow through on the recommendations made by the palaeo-scientists who attended the July 2004 Workshop in Nairobi (see the Workshop Report).

In order to be able to derive benefits from the Network, please register in the two Human Resources Databases (insert links).

Below are some of the highlights of accomplishments as at the end of September 2004:

-Africa Regional Website created September 2004
-Africa National PAGES websites (links) have been constructed for the following countries – South Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya.
